Tomato Basil Sauce For Pasta

  • Tomatoes ( 500 grams )
  • 6 cloves Garlic , finely chopped
  • 1 Onion , finely chopped
  • 4 sprig Basil leaves , roughly torn
  • 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Let’s Start Cooking!

  • Start by boiling the spaghetti pasta in hot water with a pinch of salt. Maintain medium-high heat in a saucepan filled with water.
  • Add the spaghetti pasta and a pinch of salt to the pot and bring to a boil.
  • Boil the spaghetti pasta until it reaches the biting consistency.
  • Strain the water and run cold water over the cooked spaghetti pasta to stop the cooking process.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the pasta and set it aside.
  • The Tomato Basil Sauce is the next step. Place the tomatoes in a pressure cooker, cut them in half, and place the tomatoes in the pressure cooker.
  • Allow for one whistle of pressure cooking for the tomatoes.
  • After the first whistle, immediately release the pressure and let the tomatoes cool.
  • Drain the water from the tomatoes once they have cooled. Remove the skins from the tomatoes and blend the pulp into a smooth puree in a mixer grinder.
  • When the puree is ready, remove it from the heat. Set this aside for now.
  • Add the carrots and capsicum at this point and roast the vegetables until soft and cooked through.
  • Once the meat is cooked, add the tomato puree, basil leaves, red chili flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper, and bring to a rapid boil for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti pasta to the tomato basil sauce and mix well.
  • Stir in the cream and continue to stir fry.
  • Cook the spaghetti on high heat until it is thoroughly coated in the sauce.
